Mini Bijou Language summary: April to July 2026 (11 weeks)

This is a guide only: plenty of other language will be used during the lessons,  and in the songs, the activity sheets, and the suggestions for further learning.

 

Greetings & how we are feeling

Comment ça va?/Ça va? (how are you/how’s it going?)

Ça va/Ça va bien (I’m okay/fine)   Très bien merci (very well thanks)

Je suis fatigué/fatiguée (I’m tired)     

 

Topic 1: C’est l’été (It’s summer)

En été je porte… (in summer I wear…)   

un short (shorts)  un t-shirt (a t-shirt)  une casquette (a cap) une jupe (a skirt) 

un maillot de bain (a bathing costume)  des lunettes de soleil (sunglasses)

Bonnes vacances (have a good holiday)

 

Topic 2: Les glaces (Ice creams)

Children will learn how to ask for an ice cream from an ice cream shop and we will have our own ice cream shop as an end of term treat!

Je voudrais… (I would like…)

 une glace au chocolat (a chocolate ice cream)

 une glace à la fraise (a strawberry ice cream)       We will learn some other flavours
